Day 05: The Monster Living Under My Bed

Fell a bit behind. My computer will be out of commission for the next couple days so the rest of my drawings will probably be traditional, and probably only be posted when I get the chance (since my phone doesn't like Blogger). Also, forgive the quality of the pictures. They're taken with my phone since I can't scan at the moment either. Plan to be caught up by tomorrow. Topic chosen by me.

Day 04: Meeting Trevor

So today's topic is "when I met Trevor" which was chosen, of course, by Trevor McCandless. He's the guy I normally do these challenges with. I honestly don't remember meeting him, but I assume it was somewhere in the labs of the Animation department at school. And I figure it would have gone a little something like this.

Soooooo, new draw challenge. Each day a new topic is chosen by one of the people participating. This will go on for 12 days. Today's topic was made by Troy. I mainly focused on the background then just kind of slapped on some badly drawn characters cause I wasn't diggin' it too much.

Avengers Idea Rough Draft

So, I saw The Avengers today :O Go see it if you haven't. I know I haven't finished Thor (Though I did draw him not too long ago) but I got so excited I was thinking about doing a full team piece, and knocking out that Thor drawing along with it. Then I got home and wasn't sure if I wanted to redraw everyone again. So I put together a little draft using what I had previously drawn.

Not sure if I'm going to do this for sure yet. Or If I want to redraw them. Just some thoughts. Will update on this soon.

Super Happy Avengers Vertigo-rific Draw-athon

Finally drawing again. Some friends of mine decided to do an Avengers Draw Challenge thingy as a countdown to the movie's release. I haven't really been drawing much lately, so this is a good chance to hop back on (or off?) the wagon. For the last week and a half or so, I've been sorta physically wierding out. I think I have vertigo? Or at least it seems like it. I have a doctors appointment soon, so I'll know soon enough what's up. So, I'm going to try real hard not to fall behind on this, as sometimes I get too dizzy to want to stare at a screen.

Day 20: Left Retail

late post. And a quick drawing. Sorry this weekend has been kind of busy, wish I was able to put more time into it. It's me running away from Buck the Bunny. Now I don't want to go on a rant here, but I totally despise retail. I've worked with customers since I was 14 up until late 2011. Though I don't regret a single moment of it, because it did shape me into what I am, I have never dealt with anything that ever ate away at my soul and made me lose faith in the human race as much as working retail. God bless those employees. It is a tough job dealing with the deteriorating intelligence of mankind. I'm totally aware it is always a possibility I'll go back, and I'll be ready if that time were to come, cause I'm damn good at it. I just really hope it doesn't.

This is way more than I normally like typing in my posts. I'm not much of a writer. Congratulations if you read all the way through and thanks. And remember, next time an employee somewhere accidently gives you the wrong game or screws up in some way, please be kind. We're all human. Don't be that customer. END RANT.

Day 19: New Job

Last year, my barely-literate weird-lookin' self somehow managed to get a job. For the first few weeks I was convinced it was a really elaborate prank, cruel joke, or weird scheme against me that would reveal itself soon enough. Truth is I'm still suspicious...

Day 18: Trip to L.A.

Yes, I went to L.A. twice this year. Once for school and once with the girlfriend. While there we took this horseback riding thing along the cliffs where the HOLLYWOOD sign is, and it was the most terrifying moment of my life. My horse was literally walking on the edge of the cliff. The trainer told me that that's normal and some of the horses just like walking there....never again.
